Stef Heidhues »Minor Frequencies«
Die filigranen Installationen von Stef Heidhues, die in Berlin lebt und arbeitet, sind kombinatorisch entwickelte Konstrukte im Raum oder auf Papier. Ihre Arbeiten sind plastische, zum Teil mit malerischen und zeichnerischen Elementen verschränkte, Objekt- und Papiercollagen, die, nicht ohne Witz, konstruktivistische Ansätze der Moderne aufrufen. Dies jedoch nur, um die Behauptung einer Autonomie und Selbstreferentialität der Form mittels einer Ästhetik des Fragmentarischen in Zweifel zu ziehen. Durch die Verwendung gefundener labiler und durchaus besetzter Materialien hinterfragt Stef Heidhues in ihrer Formkritik die Systematisierung und Rationalisierung von Inhaltsebenen und gibt dem Signifikanten und der polysemen Figur den Vorzug. The filigree installation views of Stef Heidhues, who lives and works in Berlin, are combinatory developed constructs in space or on paper. Her works are plastic- partly entwined with picturesque and graphic elements that refer to constructivist attempts of modern art in a witty way, but only in order to question the assertion of an autonomy and self-referentiality of form by a fragmentary aesthetic. Through the use of found, unstable and quite trimmed materials Stef Heidhues challenges the systematisation and rationalisation of meaning levels in her form criticism and prefers the significant as well as the polysemic figure.
